My husband and I found Pusateri on a recommendation, and spent an enjoyable hour in the store choosing new gloves for ourselves while on our honeymoon in June. Unfortunately the first time my husband wore the gloves in the NY winter a few weeks ago, the leather tore near the wrist. I took photos and sought a repair quote from a leather repairer($ 30!). I called Pusateri to see if there was anything they could do given we had already spent $ 100 on the gloves which were brand new. I was told flat out, no, they do not ship, they do not refund money, basically they do not care that their gloves are not up to the A+ quality they assure you when you are in the store. Extremely disappointing… Be wary of this store, and triple check whatever you do decide to buy while still in Florence!

Via dei Calzaiuoli is a main drag in Florence filled with Italian leather shops and American stores, but if it is leather gloves you want, Pusateri is the name to remember. All gloves are made exclusively by hand using first rate quality leather. The craftsmanship on these is outstanding! Colors range from neutrals to technicolor ones. You can opt for simple styled gloves to elbow length lined with cashmere and adorned with satin buttons. Prices range from € 59 and above. I’m not much of a shopper, but while looking at these gloves I was thinking, «wouldn’t it be cool to drive a Ferrari while wearing red Pusateri leather gloves as I drive off into the sunset?!» Great. Now I’ll have to come back to Firenze to get the gloves. The Ferrari will have to wait.
