Love this place from the moment we walked in. Greeted by the owner and seated promptly. He was very helpful with the menu items we weren’t familiar with and the food was excellent! Great selection of wine as well!

we were suppose to meet our Wine Tasting/​Bike Tour group here. unfortunately, we decided to rent a car and drive from our little villa in Chianti here. needless to say, we finally found this place AFTER the tour group left. oh, we decided AGAINST the GPS and we also got a ticket for going the wrong way down one of the one way streets. oh well.
the Ponte Vecchio is a very touristy spot. it’s a short bridge covering the Arno, located in the heart of Florence. its’ just down the street from the other touristy spots, the Duomo, the Piazza, the Palazzo etc. there are plenty of shop on this bridge selling mostly crap. excuse, i meant La Crapo! david statues, replica paintings, mugs, key chains and I «heart» Florence t-​shirts.
the place is not even really usefull as a marker, as we thought it would be. granted it was the most «structured» bridge, plenty of buildings from the shops, the other bridges were relatively similar. in any case, take your picture, and move along. oh yeah, and watch where you park!
