Pittam’ingolli

Un bar typique de Santo Spirito, d’ailleurs situé précisément sur la place du même nom. Un tout petit endroit bourré à craquer: il faut aimer la promiscuité. En été, le bar se déverse sur la place et c’est plus cool, mais pour aller chercher un verre il faut tout de même jouer des coudes. Le bar est tout en longueur donc c’est comme se frayer un chemin dans un couloir. Pas lounge quoi.
Je crois que les serveurs sont les prototypes originels du hipster européen, voire même le patient 0. Tout a sans doute commencé ici.
Ce n’est absolument pas une critique: ils sont très sympas. Ils ont pris un temps fou pour faire les mojitos de mes amis, une application et une dévotion rarement égalées, pour un résultat pas mal d’après mes amis. Mon verre de vin était bon ! Rare dans un bar.

Many Italian bars and restaurants are unfortunately defined by their lackadaisical attitude towards the details of their fare. Pittam’ingolli is a welcome exception. Actual care is clear in their bakes goods, sandwiches and especially their drinks. If you order a passion fruit mojito, you’ll have to wait a minute, because the owner will cut open a fresh one and muddle it by hand. You won’t find boxed mixes here. And that’s what Italian food is about; fresh ingredients simply prepared.
This place can be a zoo if the weather is nice, patrons spilling out into the Piazza in droves, but with good reason. My personal favorite place to grab a drink in Piazza Santo Spirito.
