We had veal with truffles and t-bone steak, the quality was good, but not spectacular. The desserts were rather small. Overall, it’s a nice place with pleasant interior, but quite expensive(110EUR for a dinner with wine).

Couldn’t get in to a friend’s recommendation but, our concierge suggested Peperoncino which is just around the corner. We were surprised and a bit turned off by the fact that there were no other people there. Too bad for them! It was by far the most delicious meal and best service we have had in Italy! My husband had the steak Florintine and I had the Pollo Sorrentino and they were the best beef and chicken one could imagine. The service was impeccable and we were given a free glass of Prosseco and Limoncello. I even got my picture taken with the chef and his son, the maître d. A must for any visitor to Florence!!!

This has been by far one of our best culinary experience in Italy. The food was heavenly: an explosion of flavors and the staff extremely pleasant. A must experience in Florence for sure. I highly recommend the place.

My girl friend and I were searching for a typical ‘bistecca fiorentina’(T-bone steak which that is nearly raw inside) and this restaurant was recommended by the Cosmopolitan Hotel. The way to the restaurant is a bit strange because there are a lot of strange people and drunken youths around these corners why we finally decided not to sit outside. The interior is nice — not too modern and not too old. In the background you will always recognize the busy owner of the place talking to some customers. The waiters speak English but be aware! Mine told me anything would be possible — even a steak with less than 1 kg and we ordered a red house wine. We ended up with a 1kg steak instead and a bottle of wine without a price because there was no card for drinks at all. However the menu was fabulous. We had one steak for two persons, a bottle vino rosso tuscanese, a mixed-salad and a bottle of water and paid approx. 90EUR. The price for 100g of meat is 5,20EUR — definitely not the cheapest in town(saw some places with 3,60EUR) but the taste will simply blow you away if you are a meat-lover. To put it in a nutshell I would have given the restaurant 5 stars with a much better service and a not cheating waiter. It’s not far away from the centre and you’re not forced to order a complete menu. The place is small but we could enjoy our meal without a reservation. So if you are in town for a day are or less and you want to try the steak too, then it’s definitely worth a look! Enjoy :)
