I would give this osteria 6 stars if possible! We had a wonderful dining experience here and can easily call I’tozzo our favorite restaurant in florence! We ordered all 5 dishes(and were glad to find out later that it’s not rude to order only an antipasti and a secondi or some other combination. We would’ve ate all 5 nonetheless at i’tozzo!). As pictured, our dishes were delicious! I especially recommend the seafood pasta. Wow! The atmosphere was very nice– family friendly and also romantic for dinner dates. Our server was kind, funny and very attentive. Enjoyed the jazz music they played softly in the background. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves very much here. If you’re in Florence, a visit here is a must! This dining experience will make your trip! Note: it might be a little challenging to find because house numbers in Florence aren’t in numerical order. If you walk up and down via Guelfa for a little bit, you’ll eventually land here. Totally worth our visits to three other via guelfa, 94’s haha.

Found this place while wandering around near our hotel. The ambience is very nice — good, unobtrusive music and nice décor. It was a little on the noisier side while we were there on account of the two large parties near our table, but not offensively so. The food was very reasonably priced and all of it looked lovely. We each had a glass of wine with our meal, taking a break from Chianti to try an IGT Toscana Bianchi, which was dry and fruity. Very nice for € 4/glass. Food-wise, I went with a creamy pesto sauce over perfectly al dente fusili pasta with tomatoes and pine nuts. It came with a little dish of very good grated parmesan. The portion was large, and the flavour was fantastic. My husband had the homemade Tuscan spaghetti(thicker, like udon) with a beautiful creamy sauce with black truffle and sausage. It was absolutely heavenly and I was very jealous. My pasta was easily a 4/5, but his blew the chart. Highly recommended. We finished with some very nice desserts. He had an Italian take on the banana split — two scoops of good vanilla gelato with slices of banana and a rich chocolate sauce drizzled over it. I had the daily special — pannacotta. It had a dusting of cocoa powder over the top and a delicate hint of cocoa flavouring in the creamy treat itself. It was sweet, creamy, and subtle. A perfect finish to the meal. Service was speedy throughout the meal, and the food came out quickly as well. However, when we wanted to settle the bill and leave, the server took ages to come back. We spent about 15 minutes just waiting for our bill. i suspect we may have one of the larger parties to blame for that, but it bore noting.

Funny waiter, very good food. Don’t take seafood pasta — we didn’t like it. But sausages with beans were in delicious sauce and it made this simple dish. Pears we got were unripe.

One of my very favorite restaurants in Florence. They have delicious and reasonable hand made pastas, and one of the very best outdoor dining experiences in the whole city – a huge, multi level garden that is romantic and sweet, with beautiful evening lighting and a refined local crowd. It’s also one of my favorite lunch spots on this side of the city.

I went to culinary school around the corner from here, it was the first place I ate out when I arrived and I was quickly a regular not for the comfort and familiarity but for the pasta! Incredible. Good prices for the quality in Florence. Tourist friendly but not a tourist destination. Take the waiters recommendations, everyone who works here really does love food and wine, to the core.
