Our first stay in the Le Cure neighborhood of Firenze. While walking home hungry from a long day of museums we found this lovely Ostertia close to home and still open at close to 21:00! The women server warmly welcomed us in and graciously assisted us with translations as best she could(which got us by very well). After having fish in Venice for a week decided time for red meat highly recommend the fillet with grilled vegetables and my husband enjoyed his hamburger(pork) which was served with a sunny side up egg. FYI Meats tend to be cooked on the rare side so need to specify. Topped this off with great pear chocolate tart and coffee. Prices are very reasonable for the utterly delicious food and gracious service! Highly recommend!

What a charming little trattoria! Beautifully prepared fresh seasonal dishes and warm service. My server spoke just enough English to help me decipher the menu. I had excellent bucatini with pistachios, cheese, and black pepper, and simple spinach con agilo(spinach with garlic) that was straight from the farm. They also had many creative specials posted like polpo(octopus) roasted in vin santo. Very homey and comfortable and a world away from the crowded areas in central Florence. The only thing that wasn’t that great was the bread(dry), but everything else was fantastic. I’m staying down the street so will likely be back again.

My husband and I ate here three times while on our honeymoon in Florence. Every single dish we were served was amazing. Our server spoke English and helped to explain all the dishes(they did have a partial menu in English as well). She took great care of us. I can’t wait to return to Florence and eat here again!

This place rocked! Very simple menu but excellent food. A small neighborhood eatery with just what you’d expect. We loved the Italian first service. Very kid friendly. A night to remember in a non-tourist neighborhood.

This quiet, charming restaurant was the opposite of the touristy areas of Firenze. The hostess addressed us in Italian and did a wonderful job of explaining with few English words and hand gestures the amazing flavors of the dishes they served. The antipasto with a variety of cheeses, prosciutto and Miele was a great way to start. And the pasta with Ragu was amazing. From start to dulci, the meal surpassed expections. And she was totally accommodating to our kids as well. Definitely a do-over!
