I sat in the back room with wood slat walls and floors with large canvas umbrellas completely covering the ceiling giving the outdoor space an indoor feel which I really enjoyed. The food was fresh and creative with good sized portions. I had the seaweed salad and salmon hand rolls. I would suggest a reservation as they filled up quickly. I would have given them a 5 but the service came to a grinding halt because they seemed to seat everyone at once and the kitchen couldn’t keep up. The limited wait staff completely ignored us and we practically had to beg for the check. I would go back but just either before or after the busy time.

Being an American girl who grew up on a boat or at least next to the water, when I moved to Italy I started missing sushi and seafood… until I found Momoyama. It’s a really modern sushi restaurant near the Arno that we would visit about once a week; always sitting upstairs in the ‘cave’ like dining area. The food was always so amazing which kept us coming back. I can’t tell you my favorites because we would get different things every time, not knowing what they always were but the chef’s never let us down! It is quite pricey, but worth it!
