Michelangelo Florentine Leather

Great store! Beautiful well-​made and styled bags. This place is a must for your Italian leather bags. The prices are very reasonable considering the time and craftsmanship that was placed in making the bags. Believe me, I am a purse snob and loved this place. I will go back here again the next time I am in Italy!

Michelangelo is a true gem among the hundreds of leather shops and street sellers in Florence. We visited his store in August 2015 based on the positive reviews we found online. We purchased a beautiful leather jacket and purse. The quality of his products are exceptional, his prices are fair, and he was a pleasure to purchase from. He is not an «aggressive» businessman, yet he cares about his store and his products, and this shows with the personal attention he provides. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Florence.

Went there through recommendation from a co-​worker even tho I wasn’t really planning to buy any leather goods I went there because it was on the way to dinner. When you speak to him, you see how genuine he is right away. I ended up buying a few belts from him because the design and quality was very good and the price was very reasonable. When I left, I had realized I had forgotten my old worn belt there, two days later I went back and he held on to it for me. Thank you Michelangelo!
Don’t go to those street vendors who you can’t really trust. Michelangelo is the real deal, honest guy with integrity, and that’s what matters to me.
Also, he recommended a restaurant Trattoria Katti’s which easily became my FAVORITE restaurant in all of Italy — try the Truffle Ravioli.

I bought a leather jacket from here and it was a perfect fit! The owner is definitely very nice and knowledgeable about his products.
Unfortunately, I had an incident with the jacket and had to get it cleaned. The dry cleaner guy told me if the leather is fake, it’ll cost $ 10 to clean but if it’s real, it’ll cost $ 80 to clean. He looked inside the seem and told me it was definitely REAL LEATHER!
I’ve been recommending this place to friends, family, and anyone who wants high quality leather goods.

This is such a great place. The service is really good. They specialize in jackets, belts and purses… and they do this very well.
Michelangelo is friendly and attentive. He will take care of you and answer any questions you may have. His jackets are top quality, the leather is just what I was looking for.
The quality of the leather is great and the prices are very good (and it’s real leather, not like the knock off stuff you might end up with in some other places nearby).
I highly recommend this place. Also, Michelangelo does not have an online shop, so if you see any claims of selling his stuff online — that’s not him! He is very conscious of quality and does not want his customers to get stuck with fake products online! He even offered to show me products via skype if I ever need to buy anything else from him, great small business!

Michelangelo’s products are great quality. Everything made is Italy, including the buckles and zippers which makes the quality better. He guarantees everything! Michelangelo will make you laugh while in the shop, not pushy at all!
While at the shop, Michelangelo informed me about someone using his name to sell more products. It made me upset, so I am posting to warn people against buying «his» products online, they are not his. Unfortunately people use his name online and try to make money off of his quality products. He only sells in Florence, not online. He is not in business with anyone online. I felt terrible when Michelangelo told me about these people using his name online.
On a positive note, stop by his shop you will not be disappointed. You can touch the leather and feel the difference!

I couldn’t agree more with the previous review. Michelangelo Florentine Leather shop is FANTASTIC! My wife and I bought two purses, two coats and wallets. Quality and service are the best and the prices are extremely reasonable. A must visit when in Florence.

First off, the level of service here was unbeatable. The owner was attentive and friendly. We has just come from the School of Leather where we found amazing pieces for astronomical prices, Michelangelo’s was a refreshing change. I found 2 bags and my husband found a jacket, all were generously discounted from the marked prices, which were already low.
The leather itself is so soft, like insanely soft. And his designs are current. It’s worth hunting this place down if you’re in Florence.
