La Terrazza

A great spot to enjoy the skyline of Florence! You can see the Duomo, Piazza Della Repubblica and more! Grab a glass of wine or coffee and enjoy the view! :) It’s on the 5^th floor of the department store La Rinascente.

I can’t believe I’ve never rated this place! It’s one of my favorite hidden spots in Florence! The little sandwiches are super yummy and affordable plus the hot chocolate is so rich! Now the best part is he view off course, although they are small (outside) they always have tables available so you can take amazing pictures of the views and sit down and relax at the same time. I went there today around sunset time and while larinascente was packed on a Saturday before Xmas I still got a seat right away up there! Took my mom there too for the first time today needless to say she loved it!

Looking for good value Italian food with an epic rooftop view of Florence? Well my friend, the La Terrazza is just the place for you!
After escalator rides through the department store, La Rianscente, and a final elevator ride up to the top level, a beautiful rooftop dining area will be waiting for you. For food I recommend getting the lasagna, easily the best of my life. And while you’re waiting for your grub, be sure to take advantage of the high altitude and capture some photos with the breathtaking scenery around you! My parents loved their photo up here so much it’s going to make the cut on our yearly Christmas card ;)

Secret rooftop terrace café on the top of the high end department store «La Rinascente» in Florence.
A local showed us this place as we never would have found it on our own. You take the escalators up and then find yourself in a restaurant are where you have to take another flight of stairs to 2 more floors up and then end outside to the most fabulous view!
The Duomo is in perfect sight. You feel like you’re on top of the world here and get to see stunning views. We got here and it was sprinkling rain. They have big umbrellas and lots of tables. The menus are on the tables and it’s sit anywhere you want.
We found a table by the ledge and sat down. It started to rain harder so we found a different table in the middle that was more covered by multiple umbrellas.
There only seemed to be one server for the whole rooftop.
It took 20 minutes at least for her to get to us.
We ordered 2 cappuccinos, a fruit tart, tiramisu and coke zero.
We considered having lunch as I saw a great salmon plate and salad and hubby was looking at the pasta however, the time and it took already out of our afternoon and the rain led us to just have a snack.
Even though it rained and there was a lack of employees, I loved this rooftop café and recommend it to everyone who can find it!
Quality pastries and stunning views in an upscale classy and secret location.

The best view in Florence. You can see the Duomo and the Piazza Repubblica from here from a great perspective. La Terrazza is situated on the top floor of la Rinascente. It is usually not too crowded, so for lunch you have no problem finding a table. The lunch menu is not too pricey, around ten euro per meal. Anyone who goes to Florence should definately visit this terrace!

I’ll spill the beans on how to get here. To get to this spot, you need to enter through the «la Rinascente» department store on the first floor and take the elevator/​escalator to the 4^th floor. From there you take the stairs to the «5^th floor» rooftop
Rooftop bar with a beautiful view of il Duomo and Piazza Della Republica. The drinks here are not cheap, as you’ll be paying for the location (and view).
It is worth it. I enjoyed half a litre of white wine with a friend while taking in the views. I think the total damage was 16 Euros.
Money well spent, check this spot out.
I saw some people order 1 bottle of water to keep it on the cheap. You can do that if you want to, but really… You are in Florence, kick back, enjoy a nice drink and enjoy the view

What an amazing view of il Duomo!!! Mamma mia, this is one of the best kept secrets in Firenze! We paid € 11.50 for a cup of coffee & a cup of hot chocolate but it was so worth it!!! I won’t tell you exactly how to get there because I don’t want more people finding out about this place, hehehe! XD
