Spot on a busy street into the main attractions in Firenze(noise is not a problem on this busy thorofare — far from it.) the relaxing interior long, café and outdoor piazza make Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco an ideal spot to stay when visiting Firenze. Centrally located, Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco is a 10 minute walk from the train station, two minute walk from Academia Dell’arte, five minutes from Il Duomo and ten minutes from Ponte Vecchio. There is almost no place to walk that is more than 10 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast is included and consists of pastries, cold cuts, toast, yogurt, juice and coffee. A street side café serves drinks and other snacks until late. Large rooms. Clean and comfortable beds and bathrooms. Excellent service.

My mother and I stayed at Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco this January and absolutely LOVED it. It was colorful, fun, and eccentric. One of the highlights was the breakfast. It had everything you could want and it was all fresh. We explored the many floors and pockets of the hotel and poked our heads into some of the rooms, which all had their own flair. We had one of the smaller rooms, and it was more than comfortable. The staff was also very friendly, and the hotel had its own restaurant which was top quality. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to travelers. It’s also in a great location– about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. We actually walked from the train station to the hotel too. If I go back to Florence you can bet that I will be staying here again!

I have had a great stay here. The room is clean, nicely decorated and in a great location. And super quiet, that is a huge plus for me. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Even though I’ve been to Florence before they directed me to new food experiences. I’ll come here again for sure.

More to come; Loved it! First, somehow I messed up the on-line reservations and we walked through the doors 3 days«early». Panic! The young man working the desk made adjustments and up to our room we went. For those who like a little more room, opt for a Jr Suite. Not much more cost but very roomy with an excellent, very roomy bathroom. We had a room overlooking the courtyard so it was very quiet. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job each day. When you arrive, you will receive an invitation to their small«deli», for lack of a better term. It is a welcoming gift that includes a glass of wine and some tasty treats. Make sure you avail yourself of this offer. We ended going back each night for a glass of wine before we went out for dinner. The young man that staffs this area(I suspect that he may be related to the owner) was fabulous. He was charming and knew his stuff. Breakfast, which is included, is also excellent. I posted a picture of their breakfast description. All was as promised. Prior to arrival the staff reserved tours for us at The Uffizi, The Academia Galleria, and the Bargello. Everything was in order and we breezed into all three. The common spaces are filled with modern Italian art, and may even be produced by the owner. Wi-fi included with room, but you must log in each time you power up. Daniele, Sharms, and Fabrizio just some of the great staff we encountered. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this in a heartbeat, and on our return we will stay here again.
