The hotel desperately needs renovation. There are a few perks like free, included breakfast, being close to the heart of the city and a city bus stop in front of the hotel [if you plan to use city buses]. Without these perks, it would not be worth staying here. There probably are other hotels closer to the heart of the city at the same price. It has a TV in the rooms, but there are no english channels. The breakfast has only ready-made items with no fresh cooked hot items(like eggs or bacon). It has cold bread /turkey /salami /yogurt /coffee /juices and fruits. There is not too much place to sit down in the breakfast room. If you go during the peak times which is pretty much anytime the breakfast is served [ 7 a.m. — 10 a.m.] you will have to wait and will not get clean tables to sit down for your breakfast. The shower does not continuously deliver hot water. It goes hot and cold for no reason. Any complaint to the front desk will get only one answer, that this issue is temporary and will be fixed momentarily. This never happens :-) The rooms are ok with the basic necessities I do not know how much the room costs. since it was part of a vacation package. I would not have stayed at this hotel if I had a choice. It was booked by go-today( ) and all the pictures from the web site( ) and selling points from the agents at go-today paint a different picture about the hotel. There is one additional charge for all tourists 3 Euros per day per person(over the age of 10). For some reason this hotel takes this money upfront when you check in.

This hotel is actually pretty convenient if you’re coming off the train. You just hop on the 17, and get off on Venezia. The hotel is right there. It’s also a 10 minute walk into the heart of city where the Duomo is. It’s close to most things, IF you don’t get lost. You are greeted by two dogs at the door, which is rather sweet, except if you are traveling with two others who are fearful of them. The front staff were ok. The guy working there was more helpful than the rest. The women who work there are just there to be there. They aren’t too friendly at all. Their elevator fits basically two people and their luggage but if you have a lot, it fits one. We only took the elevator once and took the stairs the rest of the time because it wasn’t worth waiting for the ancient thing to take us up and down two flights. The pictures on the website is pretty decieving. It’s definitely photographed more brightly and pretty. It looks like the website, but it just is more dull in person.(of course!) The room itself was spacious. We had a triple, which was two double beds pushed together and a pull out couch. The beds were very firm. If I wasn’t so exhausted from being a tourist, I’m not sure if I could comfortably sleep at night. No air conditioning but the windows open up to the street, which isn’t very busy. Breakfast was ok. They had some pastries, salami, cheese, cereal, coffee, and juice. Not a great range of food, but it was decent enough for us to return. The bar is non-existent even though they have a huge lounge set aside for the«bar». The«bar»(even though the shelves hold actual liquor) is a bottle of red wine. That’s it. That’s your choices. They do provide free wifi though, which was a nice perk. Overall, it was a hotel good enough to sleep.

Been on a tour of Italy and so far this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Decent sized room(for couples) bathroom big enough for two people. FREEWIFI!!! And walking distance from the duomo, shopping, and el centro.

TINY room! Really not much space for two people who are not a couple. TINY bathroom as well with a TINY shower area. We were on the first floor(one up from ground), and we could hear EVERYTHING outside and downstairs at all hours of the day and night. That blew, especially when we were trying to sleep. We had a little balcony, which was cool. Breakfast was limited. Location wasn’t too bad… a 10-minute walk to Accademia to see The David. Free Wi-Fi.

It’s a nice place. Continental breakfast included in price. Nice, clean room, as it included a small study and attached bath. Nice staff. From an American viewpoint, it has some limitations common to European hotels. Although it has air conditioning, you have no temperature control accessible in room. You can open a window if you like or ask them to turn the temp down. The wi-fi is free for only one hour. The elevator fits two Americans(3 Italians — hey, we Americans are more likely to be obese). From an American viewpoint, it is a long walk to the tourist sites. The nearest important site, Piazza San Marco, is a 10 minute walk, so all the others are farther. A 20 minute walk at least from the train station. So call it 30 to get to the other side of the Arno. For your average Italian, no big deal. Not that big a deal for me, either, but my husband has arthritis in both knees. You can catch the bus. Just be alert about pickpockets.
