I can’t believe I’ve never rated this place before! Maybe because it’s my guilty secret when I come to Florence? I know it’s Italy and the food etc but sometimes I feel like eating fried chicken! Lol! Sometimes I don’t even eat there, I just go to the bathroom which is super clean and spacious, nothing like most public and restaurant bathrooms around this old town ;) the service is super friendly and if you order the right thing(chicken strips!) you won’t regret it! They are soft and juicy inside and crispy outside plus they cost 11 euro and although they are in the appetizer menu you can easily share them as a main course, I hope the owner doesn’t see this and jack up the price of their appetizers lol! Everyone I brought here loved the chicken strips. Don’t order alcohol in places like these BC it’s expensive, you gotta know what to order wherever you go, that’s why I like checking out Unilocal reviews so much before I go eat pretty much anywhere. If you are in Italy and feel like drinking go to any whole in the wall family restaurant and you are sure to get good wine for way less €€€

It’s a typical HR but in Florence. But good place for a specialty drink and a half way stop from my sisters store and the train station.

This is a magnificent location and the most beautiful Hard Rock I’ve ever been to. When feeling hungry for some American food and a 50′ musical(Greese was playing), this place is a Hit for an all American date night ;) Burgers are very good, it is not prime quality meat but overall good. Service got a little lost in translation here, they are soooo slow… I wonder if these kids worked in America they would starve to death, but hey, we’re in Italy and customer service lacks in most places… Get a booth seating at the end of the bar or close to the stage. Will add an extra star when customer service improves!

Went there a couple nights ago and it was a big disappointment! Average service and mediocre food! When I received my appetizer, there was a hair in the wings! After telling the waitress, she didn’t really care and put in an order for more wings without saying anything or asking me. They charged me full price for the appetizer! When I asked the manager why I was getting charged for something I didn’t eat, he said he would take care of it. Assuming I didn’t have to pay for it, I got the check again and received only 25% off! I paid it and left! I will never go back to a Hard Rock Café again after that experience. Left hungry and still had to pay for hair in my food! Oh and the food is very expensive here!

American food in Florence was hard to come by 10 years ago, now the situation is totally different and there are a gazillion restaurants serving burghers. HRC is «ok» in terms of food, but it’s not comparable to the american counterparts. What you get(and pay for) is the atmosphere this is excellent. To me as a local, it’s good for aperitifs when I want something a bit«different».

This is hands down the best HRC of all those I have been to. When they first opened back in 2011, it wasn’t great. Both service and food were so so. Back then I would have given two stars. Now I’m going with 5 — probably more like 4,5, but 4 wouldn’t do them justice. The staff are great, on every level as I see it. That goes for servers, bartenders, baristi, the staff in the shop, and obviously the guys back in the kitchen. And manager is very present, walking around making sure everyone is happy. One time I even had him print my Fiorentina ticket for me, as I had left mine at the hotel before going to the game! The food is real quality. Even the fajitas meat is cooked to perfection after your preference. I do love Italian food, and I eat that a lot whenever in Florence. But that doesn’t stop me from going to Hard Rock. Usually at least once per day when in town. If just for a coffee. Or a drink, a snack, some dessert. Or a full meal. Yes it is American food, but it is done with Italian perfection. Sometimes combining the best of two worlds become pretty great! Oh and they do have Italian pizza(at least I think they still do). I also love the Italian style bar they have out in the front. Basically a coffee bar, but of it is also a full bar.

Stop on over and take a seat. Listen to ZZ Top and rock while chilling to some old rock n roll. We had the Chocolate cake and pulled pork. Great start to walk around Florence. From there we got some great advise as to where to go.

Einfach perfekt!

When spending € 17 for a foh’kin mojito, I expect it to be either: a) Properly done and tasty! b) Super loaded with rum/alcohol c) Gargantuan(size-wise) d) Laced with some sort of illegal drug Alas, size was average(no complains there, I am not a fan of those buckets with 10 straws)… so I had high expectations upon the first sip. Instead it left me empty and very sad, as if I had just listened to Adele’s entire first album. The mint wasn’t crushed but used as a garnish… sugar was minimal(and completely dissolved)… drink was weak and watered down. Mojito fail. Hard Rock saved itself from a two star review because our server Loreto was a cool dude, the interior design is beautiful, and they stay open for Super Bowl(‘merica… phu¢k yeah!). Pretty much the only people who come here are homesick American students or expats and tourists/locals who want some sort of American experience. It’s a pretty cool place, just wish the drinks lived up to its name. My next mission here is to eat my weight in food — I heard their portions are massive. Will report back! PS: the drink wasn’t roofied.

Omg, it was so great to eat something else instead of pasta or pizza. We had the nachos which was huge, a Caesar salad and mushroom Swiss burger. I also had a piña colada and CL had some chambord drink. The burger came out way too rare for me so I let the waiter know. He brought me another burger which was well done. The food was good but overpriced just like all the other Hard Rocks. We were stuffed and couldn’t finish our food. Service was good overall.

Great atmosphere and a huge menu but prices are way too high for the quality of the food unless of course you get the nachos, then you’re set.

I know, I know. I’m in Italy so what the heck was I doing eating at the Hard Rock?! Well, after 2+ weeks in Italy I really needed something besides Italian food and Italy is not known for having a variety of ethnic restaurants so this was pretty much it in terms of a reprieve from Italian food. So going into the HR with somewhat low expectations as the food has always been kinda mediocre at the US venues I’ve tired. I don’t know if it was that I was just so happy to have something non-Italian or that the American food here just tasted better but I have to say the burgers here were delicious! I got the buffalo burger which was super tasty and cooked perfectly. My friend got chicken wings that she really liked. Service was also pretty good — our waiter was super funny and friendly. We were checked on several times by a variety of people and didn’t lack for much. Yes, the ambiance was mostly tourists but it still had a fun rock n roll vibe and they were playing foo Fighters videos on the big screen so how can you complain about that? ;)

Food was good. Service was not bad. The thing that ruined our visit was guys walking around trying to sell you things right there at the table and beggars walking up harassing you for money. I would expect the staff to do something about this issue. Of all HRs I’ve ever been to, this is the first I have been harassed at one time.

Yes, I love Italian food but my boyfriend and I were craving for a hamburger and we prefer a real American burger(big, fat and juicy). 2 Unilocalers from Amsterdam told me that the burgers of Hard Rock Café are very good so we decided to try out. HRC is very touristic but the atmosphere is very good and I was glad they have airconditioning(it was 38 degrees Celsius that day.). Staff was very nice and friendly. They are friendly in the American way(because HRC is an American franchise) but have the Italian charming too. That is a very nice combination and not only for the women ;-). We took the Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger with BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, crispy bacon and cheddar cheese… My Unilocal friends from Amsterdam are right. This is a really delicious burger. The meat was very juicy and those caramelized onions and crispy bacons… Yummie! The french fries are good too and the strawberry milkshake… I was forgotten that I was in Italy and though I was in the USA:-). The portions are very big so I didn’t go to the gelateria after the lunch. The décor is very cool with a stage and you can make pictures of that. So grab your guitar and act like a real rockstar! Now I regret that I write this review because it is lunch time now and I am craving for a Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger…

We went here to eat something non-Italian for a change. This was my first time in a Hard Rock Café and it was quite a pleasant surprise. The staff was really friendly when we came in. They all introduced themselves and threated us nicely. The atmosphere and music were pretty awesome. I am from Belgium and am quite picky when it comes to fries. We perfected them, and no other country has managed to come close to what we have. The fries we got here were pretty darn good! I actually enjoyed them, I almost never enjoy foreign fries. I tried the Legendary Burger and found it to be quite tasty. Once I added some ketchup and mustard it was really good. The only bad thing I can say is that we asked for mayonaisse 3 times, once to a male waiter, twice to a waitress, and we never got it. Other than that, I love Hard Rock Café.

If there is a Hard Rock café in the city that we are visiting then we absolutely have to go. We get a shot glass in every locale that we visit. So, we had to come to the one in Florence while we were there. The location of this Hard Rock is pretty good. It’s right off a big Piazza. When we went it was pretty packed and the funny thing was that it didn’t seem like it was just tourists. It actually looked like locals went there too. Usually, you just see tourists in the Hard Rock — probably because its kinda kitschy. We sat at the bar when we went there and ordered a bottle of wine and nachos. Yeah, we’re those people. It was good. As expected. It’s the same food at every location and the food is not the reason to go there. They do have good drinks, though. The bartenders were really nice and very attentive. We had a good time there and got our shot glass — what more could you ask for?

For your standard American-in-Italy experience, the Hard Rock Café is about as stereotypical as it gets. Great music, funky ambiance, American style food… it’s all here. This is in a great neighborhood, right around the corner from the Duomo. That makes it a wonderful place to pop in if you haven’t got any great recommendations or just want a quick taste of home. Friends and ordered the nachos as a sharing plate, and we were a little concerned about the price. But then this plate, big enough to carry a whole roast chicken, turned up, and our doubts were completely assuaged. It was nothing gourmet, but it was tasty, with lots of salsa and sour cream to go along. Definitely a pleasant surprise, and well worth the money. Overall, if you’re a Hard Rock fan, this isn’t one to miss, and either way, it made me feel a little bit at home in a foreign country, which is always good to me.

I had been in Florence for almost 3 weeks and was craving nachos like woah, so my cousin and I decided to head out to the Hard Rock for a drink and some non-Italian food. It certainly hit the spot, the bartender was friendly, we had some tropically-tasty drinks, and my cousin purchased a souvenir glass. Felt like we were in a weird, warped version of the US for about an hour. Then we headed home and downed a bunch of grappa. Olé!

Hard rock café has been open for over a year now and inside it is absolutely gorgeous, they have tried to keep the original theater vibe going while still making it a venue for live music and great drinks and food. While I would have preferred that the theater would have stayed I have been here a few times. I always get the nachos since in Florence, it is practically impossible to get good nachos(makes sense. we’re in Italy) and they are good. I give them three stars because well, it’s expensive. I don’t really want to spend 16 euros for a burger and fries, it’s not like it’s made with truffle, and 3 or 4 for a soft drink. That being said a few times a year is all you really need. On another note we did happen to go during their anniversary when they offered their legendary burger for only 71 cents! despite this huge discount with two soft drinks and a shared dessert, we still spent close to 17 euros between two of us. If you are visiting Florence, eat Italian food and don’t come here. But if you are craving something from home and you are living here, by all means, enjoy yourself.

Overall this is one of the best Hard Rock Cafes I have ever been to. The local for this venue is fantastic, it is located in a converted movie theater in Piazza della Repubblica. The food is fantastic, and honestly, it has the best American food in Florence. Hands down. The waiters and waitresses have personality and a great sense of humor. The drink menu is great, and includes some good margaritas I liked this place so much that I have my group’s Christmas party here and it turned out fantastically. Great job Hard Rock!

Italien at it’s best! Also 4,33 Sterne! Recht so! :D
