The restaurant is in a very fun area, and a great escape from the tourist traps near our hotel. The portions are definitely small, but 6 – 7 small plates was enough for a light dinner for two people. The food was very tasty, but the staff were distracted and forgot to enter our dessert order. We waited a full hour before it came out, which detracted from an otherwise positive experience.

The atmosphere is awesome, a little crowd and noisy but there aren’t lots of places like this in Firenze just too seat and have drink and a little plate as a side BUT the food is the problem, not good at all, and if you’re hungry you will end up paying as much as the great restaurant just next to it but having a lot of different bad bites, and personally I didn’t like any of the cocktails I had there, so I guess I will never go back not even for a drink

It’s a nice bar to go in the evenings for a drink with friends and some nibbles. The interior is very industrial and reminds me of trendy bars you’d find in places like Brooklyn, Berlin, Tokyo etc. I have to say I don’t really like their chalkboard ordering system. It makes things complicated. I don’t mind going to the counter to order things but the chalkboard seems a bit unnecessary. The food was good, portions were very small but not that cheap.

This place is beautiful, totally hipster(one of these many new hipster places in Florence totally renewing the old tratoria /osteria landscape), and the atmosphere is very festive — a bit noisy for sure but nice. It is 100% a «cool» place. And as such, they have developed this very characteristic symptom of coolness(evidence of this disease all over Europe) of «we do not accept reservation». Understand«we are so cool that we know you will wait». And i did. But i did once. I had a very nice moment and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, especially on a saturday night. But the food did not convince me enough to have me wait again for so long. It was good but nothing spectacular. Probably i am not cool enough. So, what did we eat? Some salmon, with very very dry rice: i did not like at all. Some anchovies with spinach and burrata: this one i liked a lot, i find the alliances of these different ingredients very tasty. A falafel: it was ok, nothing special. Then for dessert, the mini bombe were good and the panna cotta was very good too. To sum up, the dessert were very good but i was not very impressed by the other tapas and even disliked one. Still worth going for this very cool atmosphere(and if you do not mind waiting). Writing those lines i realize that maybe i’ll wait again once…

Let’s begin with saying I like the open space with street windows and the fact it’s free to enter just to grab a little cake or a cocktail or find a single or shared table to eat. Furniture is recycled, wood is predominant and walls are rich of details, including drawings of international mentors with some of their quotes. The vibe in here is smooth, lights are toned down, music is soft. Tables are small as well as chairs, but there’s also lounge areas with big fat sofas. You pick your seat Grab a blackboard Write your table number(yes, it’s there on the chalks glass) How many of you are there Then you select from the menu and write the bold typed words that indicate your choice Go to the register, give the blackboard and order drinks You’re done! In a few minutes you’ll get small plates of heaven’s food I tried almost everything and not even once I was disappointed! Portions are small, you may want to eat 4 to 5 dishes in order to fill your belly They are so good you’d like to get more, but it’s tapas and you’ll have to settle for that. It would be smart to have a double choice which is: Tapas or Regular menu so if you really like a dish you can order a big portions of it! That’s be nice :) Sharing a table in 5, 2 drinks and a bottle of wine, almost 5 dishes each: 23 € per person Fair enough!

In a well needed district of innovative and quality places for a decent apéritif I was thrilled to try Gesto. The fish and vegetable small tasting plates were perfect with our wine of which you can find. A decent selection of both white and reds along with craft beers and cocktails. The design of the place is very hip and charming. The only annoying part is the righting on boards and having to get up and down to order! When you spending around 20 € per person for an aperitivo one expects to be served Over all lovely place and we will return xx
