Great place! Wish I could give you directions, but it’s so intertwined in Florence that I’d get lost too. We got the Combo– spaghetti with a cola for 6.50 eur and a slice of Mediterranean pizza. The spaghetti was surprising delicious. We saw the microwave and was very suspicious, but we did it anyways. The spaghetti was sooooo goood and tasted great. One of the workers actually cooks the pasta. The pizza was mediocre, crust was dry and the toppings were plastic textured. The delicious spaghetti definitely compensated for the lack of flavor of the pizza. Service was great, had an olde man and son working both ends of the restaurant.

Alberto is a wonderful guy. He is there every day and is kind and prompt in his service. My roommate and I go to Cucciolo every weekday morning(aside from Monday, as they are CLOSED that day) The Caffe latte is wonderful. For some reason, café lattes can taste watery, can be bitter, etc. However, I haven’t run into any of those problems here. Additionally, their sandwiches are delicious! I’ve had a few different variations, including their breakfast sandwich(to die for). Prices here are more than reasonable. Drinks are usually less than 2 euro. Sandwiches are around 3. During the weekend, and later in the day it can get crowded in here, but at 8 am, when they open, it is barren and a nice place to start your morning. I would recommend this café to anyone! One of the best in Florence in my opinion.

Honestly one of the best eateries we stumbled upon in Florence. We came in attracted by the display of panini and pizzas in the window. After consulting with the waitress we opted for a puff pastry caprese panino, a prosciutto cotto panino and a pizza. The star of that meal was the puff pastry panino. So flakey! So tasty! The mozzarella and tomatoes were perfect. The prosciutto cotto panino was great too, and pizza was ok. Then came the dessert course. I ordered a bomboloni because how can you possibly resist those puffy pieces of sweet heaven? They were so airy and perfect, I gobbled the whole thing without a moment’s regret. We also ordered some tarts: cottage cheese and strawberry, apricot, and something else I forget. Polished. It. All. Top that off with some cappuccinos and a bill that was embarrassingly cheap and you’ve got yourself three happy campers set to tackle the Uffizi! Please go to Cucciolo when you are in Florence!!!

I had one of the most affordable, simple, and satisfying sandwiches of my life here. Imagine a slice of meat, mozzarella cheese, aubergine, and tomato sandwiched between two puff pastry sheets, then toasted to a crispy, flaky golden brown. This morsel is then sandwiched between two sheets of paper(which become immediately soaked-through with grease) and serve on a plate. It might not be glitzy or glamorous, but it’ll do you right without taking a chunk out of your wallet. Not bad in Florence’s city centre, to be sure!
