Lovely place for a typical Italian breakfast! Great coffee and wide selection of pastries. Also with a more than fair price!

Comparing this bar to others would be a shame. It’s an historical place, placed in an historical square and always crowded with people popping by for a coffee or a snack. Sitting under the porch is also very nice!

Cappuccini are OKAY– I’m not a huge fan of the frothy foam but for 1.20 you can’t complain too much about cappuccino in Italy;) The cornetti and pastries are indeed pretty descent and the staff there are in tip top shape with many little candies and cakes to take home if need be. My only complaint is that I was there for during lunch and I think the wait staff took too literally the term«piatti espressi» because after 3 seconds of doing the scarpetta of my burrata, my plate was whisked away from the table, albeit 5 pieces of potatoes left on the plate. I know this is Italy and service usually shouldn’t be expected, but it is my ultimate pet peeve when plates are taken away just moments after the meal is finished, when food is still in my mouth or in this case– on my plate. Plus for a caffè lunch, € 8.50 was a quite steep price for a ball of burrata and over boiled bland potatoes and limp lettuce. Why go: If you must be in Piazza Libertà and you forgot breakfast or a dolce for a dinner party.
