Great cappuccinos and pastries(that’s all we ordered the three times we went), but definitely stay away from the tables. Two cappuccinos and two pastries were about € 4.50 the first couple times we went for breakfast and ate at the counter, but on our last morning the guy behind the pastry counter misunderstood us and brought our food and drinks to a table. We ended up paying € 10 for the same food. I know that in Italy there is usually an extra service charge for sitting, but to double the cost? Total crap. Again, good drinks and treats, just stay at the bar!

Super espresso and sandwiches, and an amazing selection of pastries. Also the lady that runs the counter is fun to watch boss everyone around.

Horrible. Stay far, far away. Tasteless Bruschetta was on soft, untoasted bread that was soggy by the time it reached me. The caprese salad was made of pizza cheese of low quality, the tomatoes weren’t ripe, no basil AND no balsamic vinegar. Brought white vinegar to the table. ½ of a piece of cheese was eaten and no one asked if anything was wrong with the food. When we told them — they said we were wrong, people always beg for more. IF that is true, it is because they are begging for GOODFOOD of GOOD quality. You know? Like it Italy. The canned coca cola was excellent. For this, I gave the, one star.

Suuuuuks. Poor service and expensive drinks. Crappy vino list too. Compared to all the other similar type restaurants/bars — I think you will do just fine if you skip this baby. Weak.

I walked in here with my friends during my first night in Florence. I was very excited to finally have some dinner as I was starving. I asked for a menu, and I know I should brush up on some Italian, but the word for menu in Italian is menu. The waitress was giving me a hard time because I didn’t speak proper italian. She insisted that we sit down for the dinner buffet, but we didn’t because we wanted some authentic pasta. After waiting for service for a good 10 minutes, we saw two couples leave without ordering because of the wait staff. We decided to stay because we were already there, so we ordered. I ordered the pasta with sausage and spinach. The pasta was prepared with a wonderful texture, I just wish they included more meat. I got not even a handful of small pieces of sausage. Before our food came, my friend went into the front of the café to get some pastries to hold us over and the lady behind the counter was very sweet and friendly. I’m not too sure why there is such a big difference in attitude between the two, but if you’re here for dessert, I’m all for it. In the end, we were satiated, but unsatisfied.

The coffees here are good and they have an egg and tomato sandwich perfect as a breakfast. The pastries are also good. The dining area is especially comfortable and clean. I’ve been here several times and will walk a little further to have a better coffee here.
