The problem with me and Japanese restaurants outside of Japan is that I lived in Tokyo and clearly most of them are not up to level with the japanese standard I am used to. Aji Tei is another one of those chinese run«japanese restaurant», where food is well presented but to me it taste all the same. There are better Japanese restaurants in Florence, but if you are on a budget this is probably one of the places to go to…

Horrible dinner. Very bad service. They DONT bring wasabi and ginger. And the waiter spilled soi sauce all over the table. The sushi fell apart.(Joking, everything was amazing)

Im writing this review right here in the restaurant because I’m really pissed! I have to give one star to the is place because of its service, My friend and I was craving for Japanese food, so we Unilocaled the place. This place has pretty good reviews as per help, so we chose to come to here. Fish quality is alright, can’t compare it to New York City. My friend ordered a Katsu don and when she was half way finish, she found a dead fly in her rice, she asked the waitress just to take it away nicely, we didn’t even intent to make a complaint, the waitress started giving attitude! I mean really?!! This is a all u can eat place, so when we tried to order some more food, the waitress came over and didn’t wait for us to finish what we want to order, she walked away! My friend and I looked at each other’s face with our mouths opened. Wow! This is the European serving style?!!

Alright Japanese, better than other Japanese places in the city, but so overpriced! I usually don’t eat asian cuisine when I’m in Europe because I know it’ll be expensive and mediocre compared to Japanese in Los Angeles. We paid 75 euro for a salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki, and sake. I’ll give a few points for the décor and service.

I was craving Japanese food and found this lovely place. We came without a reservation and lucky for us, arrived just before the crowd(this was ~6:30 pm). We ordered agedashi tofu, vegetarian yakisoba, katsudon, spicy tuna handroll(temaki) and a unagi handroll(temaki). The vegetarian yakisoba was very simple, but surprisingly flavorful. The katsu don was very god nonetheless. I would order it again if given the chance. Temaki were a little smaller than I’m used to, but yummy. My only complaint is the slimy sauce and batter for the agedashi tofu caused it to fall apart upon being picked up — spoon is required. I’d come back to this place if I visited Florence again!

Great quality, pretty standard sushi menu, usually quick service. Try the Tonno Tartufato(truffled tuna) roll! The all you can eat price is a great deal — currently 26euro on weekdays and 28 on weekends(until December 2013)
