1865 is a beautiful B&B just outside the city center, but within walking distance to all the major sights in Florence. It truly feels as though you are staying in a beautifully appointed apartment, but with 5-star service at your fingertips. The moment we arrived, Cynthia greeted us, showed us to our gorgeous room, and invited us to the main area for coffee, tea, and/or fresh baked goods. We sat with Cynthia as she spoke to us about Florence, all the major sights to see, and even mapped it all out for us. Given we only had 2 nights in Florence, she recommended we make the most of our time and catch the sunset at Piazalle Michelangelo. We headed out immediately, and it was one of the most breathtaking views and sunsets we have ever seen. Cynthia recommended amazing restaurants as well, and even pulled some strings for us to get in to one of the sights. Staying at the B&B with Cynthia and Michel was like staying with family. 1865 B&B is gorgeous, and the service is best in class. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The main area is fantastic as well, with coffee, teas, fresh baked goods, dessert liquors, etc. Michel cooked breakfast each morning, and it was perfection. If your going to Florence, stay at 1865 Residenza d’epoca! Staying at 1865 made our first visit to Florence in April 2013 all the more special and unforgettable. We will especially always hold a special place in our heart for Cynthia and her warmth and hospitality. Ciao Ciao!
