In a part of greater Florence given over to fast food and mouldering trattorie, this quietly elegant fish restaurant is a lightning bolt. It offers: a small, well-chosen and very well executed menu of fish and seafood(wonderful teriyaki shrimp, tuna with pignolie); a small wine list with some unusual offerings; quiet, capable service with English spoken; a pleasant Milanese interior. It is right by the autostrada at Firenze Sud(GPS or taxi might help). May be noisy with summer windows open – but maybe they keep them closed with A/C. Value is extraordinary – the bill is usually half what I expect. And fresh fish? You simply cannot disguise rare tuna simply served. Well done Tuga!
