This is such a great place. Right against the church in the exact center of town. Down an alley this place is worth looking for. Great Umbrian classics like pasta with tartuffo and chingale.

We had a lovely GLUTENFREE lunch in the old town of Deruta after doing some shopping down the hill in the ceramic shops. The restaurant doesn’t offer GF pasta or pizza, but they were very familiar with gluten-free issues and clearly recommended what was GF on the menu. It was a hot day, so we enjoyed refreshing salads, fruit and delicious eggplant rollatini, along with the crisp house white wine, served in a pitcher. A quaint location down a little lane in old Deruta, which is well worth seeing.

This restaurant was one of the best out of all in the length of our weeks stay in Italy. The wait staff was very polite and helpful with directions to our next plans of the day. I ordered a salad and an eggplant dish and both were extremely flavorful and delicious! This place definitely deserves your service:)

Deruta is an outstanding place to visit and this little restaurant was an excellent mid-day spot to enjoy lunch. It’s a little hard to find, but worth the hunt! The dining setting is in what appears to be a wine cave; cool and intimate. Full bar and excellent house wine. Service is very good and the food was delicious. They have a lot of typical Umbrian dishes and have a number of seasonal specials. English is no problem.
