It’s a very peculiar place. It’s situated in an old monastery, halfway to the top of the hill. The view from the grand terrace is outstanding and makes you want to wake up in the middle of the night and have a smoke there. The building itself is very interesting and has a specific spanish-horror-movies-about-abortion-and-drowned-babies vibe to it. Unfortunately, the conditions within the ‘Casa’ leave a lot to be desired. There are no bathrooms in the rooms, the wifi runs slowly and the breakfast is a big-no-no(located in the middle of Tuscany they serve packaged german cheese…). The parking is included into the price, but it’s worth stating that guests with older/bigger/weaker cars will have problems getting to it due to the very steep driveway. All in all, I rate it 3 — it’s a place you’ll remember, but rather not a place you’d like to come back to.
