The Club is the operator of the only seaplane base in Italy and seaplane training facility. Here it is possible to try the rare experience of flying a seaplane. The Aero Club Como was founded in 1930. The history of seaplaning on Lake Como began in 1913, when the city hosted an internationally important seaplane competition. Como pilots are among the most highly regarded and knowledgeable in water flying techniques at a worldwide level, and often are called to supervise and provide consultation for seaplane operation in Italy and other European countries. Visitors can go up with a qualified pilot for a half-hour round trip of Como Lake and surroundings for 150 Euros. Exhilarating! Video link:
