One of the most wonderful finds in Italy. After stumbling into Vo D’or in Codigoro with my sisters one day for lunch in late September/early October, we immediately made it our favorite place in the Emilia Romana. It is small. It is simple. It is more like a little neighborhood wine bar(which it is). It doesn’t even have a web presence. And it is off the beaten path. But it is worth a Unilocaler’s highest praise. The food is fantastic. Especially the pumpkin ravioli, venison and all seafood dishes are unforgettable. The collection of local and not so local wine is wonderful. We packed a car load with Alessandro’s wine recommendations, but all evaporated quickly. I am now a fan of Bosco Eliceo frizzantes. Too bad I need to go to Italy to get this wonderful wine. Non of the Boston wine importers seem to carry it.
