Extraordinary restaurant along the Appia Nord. Stopped in for dinner at the recommendation of a friend who lives nearby, and don’t regret it. I had the bufala and prosciutto antipasto to start, a sampler platter of crostini, arancine, and suppli followed by a deep-fried artichoke appetizer, and then on to the magnificent pizza. I chose a half-and-half with boscaiola(sausage/mushroom) on one side, and mistakenly picked an artichoke and anchovy on the other. Thankfully, one of my dining companions traded the anchovy half for his prosciutto-covered half, and I was back to bliss. Another dining companion had the steak, which looked good, but which I can readily find in the States. Pizza like this, though? Never… so enjoy it while you can. Prices are extremely fair, but I must warn you that parking is tight, and the hostess claimed that most of the better tables were all reserved(on a Wednesday night??), so be sure to call ahead.
