Yes, this place really is As good as it gets! We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at this restaurant situated on top of a mountain in the middle of Piedmont with gorgeous views and delicious home-made food! The restaurant has no menu since everything is made fresh… We were not familiar with ‘typical’ Piedmont cuisine so the owner brought us an appetizer medley with Cotechino, Red Peppers, and other goodies that I dont remember the name!(all delicious though!). He suggested us a Barbera/Syrah blend which was divine and really cheap(I believe 13 Euros!). For first course we tried these tiny raviolis which are served on a napkin, tableside with no sauce… We loved them and suggested he should open a kiosk in South Beach and serve them as Popcorn Ravioli… I mean these little things were DELICIOUS… Our second course was a bird called«Faraona» oven-roasted served with a veggie medley from his garden(talk about fresh!)… Everything was excellent and we still had a little room for dessert and we had the BEST tiramisu made with Moscato and served with frozen Moscato grapes… OMG I can still savour it and probably crave tonight… Totally worth it !! We stayed the night at the B&B and was incredibly serene and quiet. Just what we needed in our short stay!

we came from Milan to eat in this tipical«trattoria piemontese» at the beginning of November. The area is beautiful in this season. Green, red, orange foliage everywhere and vineyards everywhere. We had a five starters sample menu which was composed by an excellent seasonal salad, tartare(made to order and with tho different seasoning which was my favourite dish), a very tasty cotechino with fonduta, peppers with bagnacauda and a thistle cake which was simply great. As first course we had ‘ravioli del plin’ which are a must in this area and they are served on a linen napkin(no plate) as people did time and time ago. It was perfect. Unfortunately we were done so we couldn’t even imagine to order a secound course, so we skipped straight to the desserts. A bunet and a cream and pear with chocolate cake. They also have a great selection of local cheese and wines and all the portions were absolutely generous. The service was very kind and attentive but a bit too slow, and i guess it was due to the fact that it was a sunday during holidays and the place was full. 34 euros each is a great deal for what we had(with a 20 euro bottle of local red wine included)
