We had some time to kill before heading to the airport and really needed some food! We had stumbled across this place the say before on our way back from Pompei, unfortunately it was closed for the afternoon so we decided to head back to following day to try it out. Pizza! It was so good — I went for the ‘broccoli e salsiccia’(I had this combo at another pizza place in the week, different combination but very good!). The lovely man who took our order said it would take about 20mins so we sat on the benches outside and watched a wedding that was happening at the local church! The food came out still hot from the oven and the cheese all melty and gooey! This pizza was soooo good! It was a good size portion and was comfortable full afterwards, although I did get the mandatory food coma which is always a good sign!

This is the best food you can get in this town. It is amazingly tasty and even more amazingly inexpensive. Castellammare is a town set on a step hill. Our Airbnb was located on the top, and walking down was quite a shocking experience to see how narrow streets can be actually a very busy highway(people drive there like crazy). At the bottom you find Buon Boccone. They have tons of vegetarian options, quite hard for vegans to find something(I found pizza rossa without cheese). You can gets pizzas, arancini and other baked goods. By the amount of locals queuing you know you’re in the right place.
