I had the pleasure of going to Camp di Cent Pertigh in Carate Brianza. The restaurant was warm, inviting with a rustic beautiful old world Italian flare. I didn’t think that they would speak English or have English menu’s.(Only because it was secluded and such an traditional looking place.) The food… all I can say is wow. We started off our meal with Tatin di sfoglia ai funghi porcini tomino caldo, panna acida alle erbe e cardoncelli. Basically,(although there was nothing basic about this dish) it was a little pie made with mouth watering Porcini Mushrooms, with a cream sauce and cheese. For the main dish, I had pizzoccheri alla salvia erbette rupestri, patate e Bitto d’alpeggio. Pasta made with herbs, potatoes and a cheese sauce. I can’t even put into words how amazing this dish was. We had some wine from the region as well, which was amazing. The team of servers were fantastic. Not only did they speak English if you prefer, but they are funny and keep you smiling. Helpful in determining what would best suit your taste buds and dietary needs! If you are in Milano in the North, don’t miss the opportunity to visit Camp di Cent Pertigh.
