After spending just a couple days in Capri I can say with total confidence that it is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been to in my life. The people are charming, the lemoncello is delicious and the water is the bluest of blue. There is no shortage of gorgeous landscapes on the island — including The Gardens of Augustus — via Krupp. This hidden gem is located along the southern part of the island and really is easy to get to… just follow any of the main roadways from the main Piazzetta down to Via Matteotti. The park is € 1 to enter and is worth every cent. We spent about two hours just taking in the spectacular via Krupp, Marina Piccola, Faraglioni and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The pedestrian only zig zag ramp(via Krupp) leading down to the marina was closed for the summer(maybe longer?) so we weren’t able to walk down which was a real bummer. The views from above were still pretty spectacular, though, whether you’re on the first or second level. The first level is lovely with its patches of green grass, flowers, trees; the second level is basically a large patio with benches for sitting and enjoying the sunshine. I can think of no better way to spend an afternoon than inside the Gardens of Augustus.
