In the heart of Medieval old Calcata, built on a peak of volcanic rock, La Sala is a cozy and friendly tea room where you can choose among over 100 kinds of teas. The place consists of a main room, with a few tables and the open kitchen, a smaller room, a loft and a nice terrace. The terrace is ideal to enjoy a fresh ice tea in a hot Summer day while looking at the wild nature of the Treja valley and hearing only nature sounds. Next to a tea you can have some cookie or a delicious slice of cake, rigorously home made. The owner, Gemma, is a Belgian lady that has been living here for several years. If you’re in Calcata for a visit be sure to have a stop at La Sala and enjoy one of Gemma’s teas.
