I’m a frequent customer of the YOOX online store and while I love their merchandise fantastically and have found amazing items at steep discounts, my customer service experience with them has been the worst ever. YOOX policies are stringent and ridiculously unfair; they lack wiggle room and empathy and grossly short change customers. I’m surprised that no adjustment has been made to their customer service policies, hence this review.

Worst customer service. Serious decline since they became part of net-a-porter. Beware of sales. No exceptions made regarding a price adjustment if an item has a greater discount even the very next day. You will lose money and they don’t care. Not concerned with keeping customers happy at all.

Had the worst customer experience with you the other day. This is what I was told when I received a coupon code for 20% off the entire order. I had just placed an order a couple of days earlier and used a coupon code for 15% off sale only items but this one was for 20% off the total order. I asked if I could use the new coupon code instead of the old one, as the order still hasn’t arrived and hadn’t even shipped so I emailed an requested a price adjustment. You said no. These are their responses: We understand your query, however unfortunately we are unable to accommodate your request. Unfortunately your order 0409YD448XXXXX cannot be cancelled as it has already entered the shipping process. We confirm that the LASTCHANCE15 yoox promotion was successfully applied to your order 0409YD44815381. In accordance to our policies, we may only apply one yoox promotion per order. YOOX sent me used shoes and the wrong size and then charged me to return them. Still have not received a refund and UPS tracking shows they were signed for by Rich at YOOX.

Recently found out about and gave it a try. Spent about $ 250 in the first few weeks of ordering 3 items. First item I received was too small, XL Mint Green Alain Polo shirt, sent it back for a refund. Second item I ordered was a Hermitage Burgundy Cardigan with a shawl collar, they sent the wrong item and had to return that as well. The third item I have yet to receive, black Rochas ankle boots that I’m hoping are the right item and fit. Haven’t really had good luck with this online retailer and probably won’t be continuing to spend money with them. Too bad, they have a great selection at good prices. Shop at your own risk. Shipping is a little slow for my taste and they charge to return the items as well. Even though they sent me the wrong item, they still charged me for shipping to return the item.

Yoox is an online fashion boutique that specialises in selling past season designer stock. I know it sounds bad but I swear you can find some gems and who wants to be bang on season anyway! Yoox was established in Italy in 2000 but has now expanded and now has a worldwide online presence. You need the patience of a saint to trawl through the site but persist and ye shall be rewarded. I am not going to even try and list the designers stocked because there are so many; one of the great things about the site is that you will often stumble upon a label that you have never heard of before but LOVE on sight. I found a Corpo Nove jacket on Yoox in this manner and 3yrs on it is still one of my most treasured fashion items and never fails to get a comment. Yoox also provides a wishlist facility called a ‘dreambox’ — this is useful to save items in readiness for the inevitable Yoox mega sale that happens twice a year. There is also the cash on delivery service where you can pay for your purchase when it is delivered, and this cost an additional £5.
