If you ever visit Arezzo, you will no doubt visit the Historic Center of town and Piazza Sant’ Agostino. Here you’ll find the charming Miva’ di Più’ restaurant and pizzeria. I was here in mid-July and luckily my good friends had made dinner reservations so we could enjoy dinner on the Terrace facing the Piazza Sant’Agostino. You couldn’t ask for a nicer view and a finer meal. We enjoyed salads for appetizers and enjoyed some wine and drinks while waiting for our entrees. Having brought my 7 year old daughter, who is a picky eater, the staff was nice enough to have her favorite pasta prepared(spaghetti carbonara) as well as some french fries, although they weren’t on the menu. We even asked them not to put too much fresh cracked pepper on the pasta, and they obliged. Talk about service with a smile. My daughter picked out the pancetta, as usual, and filled up her little belly. And papa’ savored the leftover pancetta, yum! I ordered the Chianina Florentine-grilled steak, which was delicious. It’s sold by weight but It’s still less expensive than dining at a NYC steakhouse, believe me. We also had their filetto(filet mignon) and the octopus in a tomato sauce. I came for the Chianina steak but the octopus was so tender that I really wish could go back to order that. We ended our meal with coffee and some sweet Italian grain pie for dessert. You know the place is good when you see the town’s Mayor dining there. Yes, he was there that evening. The food was fantastic and the service was unrushed and professional. I look forward to returning to Arezzo and dining here once again.
