Although mine was a short time in Italy – six weeks – I had gelato almost every day(this makes me an expert authority on gelato, you see). I’m not sure I had any gelato in Italy better than what I found at Gelateria Paradiso in Arezzo. The gelato here is incomparably fresh, smooth, and delicious. I had no shame coming here as often as I did, because there is nothing similar where I’m from, and there’s very little even in Italy that can stand up to it. One of my favorite moments in Italy was when my friends at the hostel brought me here and bought me a family-sized portion of gelato. It was disgustingly huge. But there’s always room for gelato.
