Dea Fortuna

Beat the Roman heat and escape to Anzio for some beach time. The blue flag at this beach means its pristine, clean sand and clean water. You can rent umbrellas upright chairs and deck chairs by the half day, full day, or for the entire season. Dea also offers Wi-​Fi, showers places to change, beach toys and has a restaurant on the beach. It’s a little bit pricey, but not out of the question for what you get. The beach is full of families and locals, no tourists in sight– except me that is!
Two deck chairs and an ombrellone with mini table and hooks for bags cost us 20E for the day. You can pick any open location on the beach and rearrange the chairs to follow il sole! The water is like a bath in August, though the cold jetties running through it ate add an extra refreshing element. Buon viaggio!
