Good food — very friendly owner — helpful staff We enjoyed to eat here because the place was better than all Alghero Restaurants we tried before. Good atmosphere and we really would have come more often if we did not ate there on our last day in Alghero.

We had lunch here, twice, which is a sign we liked it. The pasta was made in site with nice seafood that tasted very fresh and a flavourful sauce. Best was however the perfectly fried calamari served with deep fried zucchini. We had it both days, and quality was consistently high. The house wine was good and bread freshly baked, which is quite often not the case. Also, the chef, or perhaps owner, walked around between tables and let us sample a home made cheese. Just a nice touch that added to the ambience. View over the water and a nice welcoming breeze makes it even better. Well worth a visit– or two…

Das Pavone will eigentlich ein Fischrestaurant sein, hat Anfang Oktober kaum Fisch zu Auswahl. Die Speisekarte liest sich herrlich, aber das Meiste ist nur in der Saison verfügbar. Man wird auch nicht voher draufhingewiesen, sondern erlebt bei der Bestellung dann, dass die Gerichte nicht angeboten werden und sucht dann verzweifelt weiter. Das kann man sicher am Besten abstellen, wenn man die Speisekarte für den Herbst/Winter aendert. Die Angebotenen Speisen waren dann Qualitätsmäßig auch nicht der Hammer. Qualitativ ist man im Maristella dann viel besser. Eher so nen Touriladen!
