Clancy’s Bar & Restaurant

As a recent visitor to Youghal from the States I will say this is a fabulous spot. I only give 5 stars for «foodie type» experiences that take you on a culinary journey accompanied by a deep wine list, Clancy’s is a solid 4 stars.
I enjoyed two meals at the establishment, one dinner of lamb chops and a second lunch of fish and chips. Both were expertly prepared, you could tell the chef was paying attention to what was leaving the kitchen. The lamb chops were done to perfection. The fish and chips was a generous portion and breaded just right.
The establishment pours excellent drinks with a wide selection of beers on tap too.
Lastly, the physical condition of the restaurant and bar is very very nice, including the bathrooms. I was lucky enough to meet the owner Padraig while visiting and you can tell he knows how to run a successful business that caters to a tasteful clientele. I hope I get back someday!
