History
Established in 1800.
The Thomas Moore Tavern, Wexford’s oldest pub, is named after the renowned Irish poet whose parents once lived here. Located on Cornmarket, the property has been beautifully restored and extended.
The old ground floor bar retains many original features and feels timeless and authentic: a refuge from the world outside, somewhere to sup a quiet pint, watch the big match or catch up with friends.
In the Bistro at street level and in The Spires Restaurant on the roof, you will find classic dishes with a contemporary Irish twist; all prepared using the very best of local and seasonal produce. And in the upstairs Piano Bar, where live music takes centre stage, good times are guaranteed!
