The only people I would not recommend The Blue door to are people with a serious problem with stairs. This does not bother me at all but there is a fair amount of stair climbing to do even to the lowest rooms. Two things that really impressed me. I had read at another site thAt parking was on street and you had to be careful not to get a ticket. When we were checking in I asked the owner about that and he said, well you are alright tonight but in the morning I will put a ticket on your window. Service. Then I asked about laundromats. We were running out of clean clothes. We were offered the use of their washer and dryer. Not only that but when we got back from dinner he had taken care of the drying part and left everything in front of our room. Everything else is three stars meaning just as it ought to be. Clean room, bedding, a nice breakfast. What sets it apart is the commitment to customers.
