Wandered in for a pint last night and had three! Great beer selection and the staff is amazing! Loads of comfortable places to sit for couples up to big groups! Great music and fab atmosphere!

Lovely place — the food is delicious and, more importantly, there’s a 21 € bottle of Montepulcciano d’ Abruzzo(red wine) there which is easily one of the most drinkable wines I’ve had anywhere in Ireland! Several of us medical students met up for dinner around 7 on a Tuesday and the atmosphere was just what we needed — pretty empty, laid-back, and just a great place to wind down and enjoy the good music and great service. Not dastardly expensive but really quality comfort food — the chips especially were abundant and the perfect balance between greasy and edible! Even the healthier fare was above par for pub food. Would definitely come back on a weekend to see if it picks up a bit but nice and quiet and casual for a weeknight grub.

I came here twice during my stay in Waterford for a few drinks and quite liked this pub. It was really spacious inside, not noisy and crowded at all so we could have a reasonable conversation and the menu was very extensive with more than just the standard bar food. It seemed like a very local, non-touristy place judging by the small number of customers, and the atmosphere was quite chilled. They had pasta, salads, fish and other interesting mains in addition to the usual soups, sandwiches and wine/beer list. I was also surprised to see Asahi beer on the menu! The servings of both food and drink are pretty big too and the prices are very reasonable. The service was pretty good, but when leaving around 12am the staff were busy having drinks so we were left standing their for a while to pay until one of my friends walk over and asked the bar tender if we could pay. Also there is no TV for anyone who plans on coming to watch a match or anything. But otherwise, great for food and drink.

Unreal food. Went there for dinner. Ordered the daily special cod with gratin potatoes. Food and service was amazing. They were able to cater for my gluten free needs and child friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone for either a drink or great food.

A local told us about this place. It’s one of the biggest taverns I’ve been to anywhere. HUGE! But strictly local. Off the beaten path from tourists at the Waterford Crystal factory a few blocks away. Try the MetalMan IPA. Local craft brew. Nice.
