History

Established in 1970.

We have operated in the financial services market in Waterford for over 40 years, and in that time have grown to be the largest Independent Financial Services Brokerage in the South East.

Originally founded 1970 as part of the FitzGerald Insurances (Waterford) Ltd Group, we have been operating as a separate entity since 1988.

2007 saw us launch our new FLP logo and also our new corporate branding adopting the lighthouse as an integral feature, designed to reflect the company ethos — «standing the test of time through the rough and the smooth, giving guidance in time of need».

2008 saw the completion of our transition, relocating to our new Corporate Offices at ²¹⁄₂₂ The Quay, Waterford.

We have a team of professionally qualified staff and advisors dedicated to providing our customers with a first class advisory service offering the independent professional advice they need and deserve.

Business Owner

Tom originally worked with Royal Liver Assurance before joining FitzGerald Life & Pensions in Waterford in 1989. In 1992 he was appointed as a Director of the Company with responsibility for the Corporate and Group Pensions Sector and was promoted to the position of Managing Director in 1998. Tom qualified as a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association in 1992.
