It all started out quite good. On the inside, Hugh Lynch’s is a lovely low ceiling traditional pub. There is a lovely outdoor beer garden with a brick fireplace for when it’s cold. It started to go downhill later on when the place went from a nice and relaxed traditional pub to a DJ ridden menace of a place. It got to the point where I could not even get to the bar to order a drink the place was so packed. Now it was just after a tag rugby blitz so there may have been more people than usual but as far as I am concerned, any pub that puts on a DJ and light show and encourages dancing is somewhere to be avoided. No one could hear what anyone else was saying even when they were shouting(which you had to do). So I think for me, Hugh Lynch’s might be a nice place on a Sunday afternoon but avoid it like the plague late Saturday night.
