The Wallis Arms Hotel

On my most recent trip to Ireland, I had the chance to stay at the Wallis Arms and the service (not to mention the price) was fantastic. I would absolutely stay there again.
The room we stayed in was quite large, and appeared to be rather new. I don’t know how long the hotel has been around, but it had that nice «new hotel feeling» I like. Everything was spotless and clean — which is always the first thing I am looking at wherever I stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and in the morning, we were served a fantastic breakfast before getting on the road.
Oh, one other thing I missed. The day before, we ate at the Wallis Arms’ restaurant. The food was fantastic (again — well priced as well), but that is not why I mention it. My advice is, if you have the chance, make sure to order the stuffed mushrooms before anything (and then you can get the big steak or whatever else suits you).
Anyway, that’s my thoughts. I took the time to write this because I really appreciate places that are good value for the money. Given that the currency conversion from dollars to euros makes everything more expensive already, I really liked not feeling like I was being taken advantage of because I was a tourist.
