)This place is deceiving and money grabbing(in my opinion)… I came here for a check-up and a clean. unlike most people going into the dentist I was calm as I knew there was nothing to worry about with my teeth I look after them very well and I get annual check-ups and not once have I ever had a problem(I only came to Smiles and not my regular dentist as I couldn’t get time off work and needed to go at the weekend, and unlike most dentists — smiles was open on s Saturday afternoon). so yeah I came in grand and calm and I left the place nearly crying as the dentist told me at least three of my teeth were… and I quote«rotting» and that I would need fillings… I was so in shock I had never had a problem with my teeth and I look after them really well… she convinced me to book another appointment with them asap to get the fillings done as it was«urgent» which I did without thinking and there and then she issued me the invoice of how much it was going to cost(a chunk of out my weeks wages anyway). Later on I calmed and realised I needed to get a second opinion as I didn’t want to risk getting holes drilled in my teeth for nothing. Which I did and went to a much better dentists which I will review separately… I didn’t say anything to him about smiles and acted like I hadn’t had a check-up in a year. He said my teeth were and I quote«just perfect» and I just needed a bit of a clean… So either the dentist in smiles was really bad at her job… and genuinely thought my teeth were going bad … Or correct me if I’m wrong but they have have been just looking to drill holes in my teeth for an extra few bob… In addition to this I have received two texts from them since telling me I need to go for another check up).(you only need an annual check up on your teeth…) not in the space of a couple of months … furthermore the clinic is constantly busy. it’s a good thing for them obviously but without fail oyu will be put on hold each time you ring. whatever about two or three minutes but I took note one of the days of being on hold for ten minutes… after that I hung up. I work on reception myself so I know what it can be like but they could have just offered to phone me back or something at that rate. the only pros ill give them is that they have flexible opening hours. Weekends and evenings. which is good if you work a 9 – 5 and cant get time off… its pretty snazzy looking inside but that’s it…

Wow, for the first time in years I actually had a pleasant experience in a dentists. From the moment I rang to make an appt. to have a broken tooth repaired I felt a sense of ease and confidence I was going to be in safe hands. On arrival I was offered a glass of water and promptly at 7.15(time of appt) I was shown into the dentists cubicle. This is a new experience to me who have had nightmare waits in dentists surgeries in the past. What professionalism, what lovely manners, what could’ve been a nightmare turned into a lovely experience CLEANCLEANCLEAN too Prices are reasonable and available on their website. With branches around Dublin there is always an appt. relatively quickly. 45 mins later I walked out having had a full X ray of my teeth, a full examination and a tooth repaired with what has to be the least painful experience I’ve had at the hands of a dentist. A follow up call from Smiles today confirms my confidence in giving this establishment TOPMARKS. I will be back.
