As a chef myself this is still my favourite place for pub grub. Staff are friendly professional and extremely accomodating. The food is always of the same quality and a change in staff or shifts never ever alters the quality. From crisp romaine lettuce chicken ceasar salad with delicious home made croutons to the most flavoursome creamy rich seafood chowder. Their old Mill curry is one of the best and their fries are always cooked to order and served piping hot. A personal favourite is the loaded nachos. Extremely good value for top class food. Cant recommend more highly.

Food here is unbelievable. Lasagne, chips, salad and garlic bread served together for € 12. huge portions it is impossible to finish the meal half the time … fajitas are fab as well !!! I recommend everything on the menu I’ve never been let down by the food here for such a cheap price too. Then full bar. You can just go in to drink here if you like … late bar and live music here at the weekend and function rooms available to hire to. Match is always shown here. pool tables out the back and to very cosy heated smoking areas …(and a little novelty golf course) Mixture of crowd here … it varies loads from young to old. from families with kids to groups of people in their twenties out on the lash.

Love this pub. Me and my friends go here most weekends. Any occasion is spent here as you are guaranteed a great night. And the late bar(club hours) helps too! They also do a luvly carvery dinner/lunch during the day. And hot food served after hours so ya can munch on nice chipper food while finishing off yer drink before heading home.

Things started as they were meant to — wonderful, wonderful waitress talking about her fav steak restaurant and how steak should be cooked — bloody as hell! :o) Well, I was there with the dad and as he was only having the fish we thought we were in for quick service as there were very few diners that night. With that in mind I headed over to the bar and got the round in as the Mill does a nice, if somewhat expensive, pint and what better way to work up an appetite? The thing is we were then able to get another round in as our food wasn’t ready and to make matters worse I was able to get ANOTHER beer for myself while the daddy went out for a smoke break. Like OMG! Ha, so our dinner finally arrived and well it looked too. Unfortunately the old adage concerning the depth of beauty’s skin proved true as instead of my steak being bloody as hell it was more a case of «Bleedin’ hell» as the steak was so overcooked my old country mammy would have eaten it. The waitress was lovely about it and she wanted to bring it back but I knew this would only be a waste of food and didn’t want to make a fuss. Instead I chomped down on my bland overcooked frozen chips and muttered about how different things would be if I was cooking… Our waitress who was an absolute angel again apologised and was visibly embarassed made me the nicest coffee on the house ever. Ha, though I told her not to tell the kitchen I did get some funny looks from the kitchen staff later in the night. I suppose they’re not used to people knowing more about food than them, at least the ones that do have been safely driven off years ago. Shame really, for the prices they charge you could do some really decent food and still make a profit.

good for an after work beer and dinner, can get a bit crwded at weekends and a wee bit too quiet on weeknights. Nice crowd though — I think the higher prices keeps the skangers out which can only be a good thing.
