The Pound has been around for over 200 years and has been a family run business for 5 generations, soon to be 6. This was always a meeting place for drinks and got its name for being a place to shelter stray animals.

The Attic Bar has become Swords’ newest hang out spot. With great draught beers and cider. Supporting the micro breweries and international flavours. They have a great homemade menu and super friendly staff. Why not check it out with the same great atmosphere, affordable drinks and food. Perfect for date nights
Play a few board games or check out one of the many books to have a read through. Music to please. Or just call in for a pint and watch the match.
Also available is Guinness. No better place in Swords for a proper pint of the black stuff. Served up by the third generation. This truly is one of the best of the old world charm pubs in the local area.

The Pound is a great place to begin your night; very central and a handy spot to meet people. It’s an average pub at the divide between Main Street and North Street, located just beside Swords Castle. Looks attractive from the outside with its colourful hanging flower baskets and benches. Inside has a homely feel with a traditional layout and it’s always packed with older locals. However upstairs is geared for the younger crowd, complete with a dancefloor! Three stars for the fact that they don’t serve food!
