This place doesn’t seem to be as popular with the younger crowd, which is suitable if that’s what you’re looking for! There are a lot of locals here all the time so I think that gives the place its character. The food is good at lunch time, average priced, and the service is respectable! As a pub, it’s a cool place to hang out, but in my opinion is a bit boring. The décor is pretty plain but it’s not supposed to be fancy anyway. However, one room is filled with pool tables and seats so for a few games of pool and drinks this is a great combo!

One of the main pubs in Swords the Star is conveniently located in the middle of the main street. It is a traditional Irish pub were the Guiness is good, the décor is how you would expext it and there is pretty little flower-​pots hanging outside. The lunch-​time food menus are also very good, they’re priced around 10euro generally but soup is 5euros for a cheaper alternative. However the food comes in a good portion and is always tasty!
