I really have to start paying attention, earlier this week I reviewed 2 craft butchers in Newport (Co. Mayo) and said something like «you dont find this sort of thing in Dublin». I then come home, wander through my local town Sandymount and see roght in front of me michael byrne craft butcher — I go in all the time, I’ve just never thought of it as noteworthy, but it is!
Aside from the usual selection of meats they have something very special indeed — a fresh fish counter — surprisingly rare in the area and odd considering we are right beside the sea, anyway, the fish is always very fresh but a little expensive — actually thats probably a fair comment overall… but worth it for the odd treat or when you are feeling flush!
