Knit ‘nd Make

Very nice shop in the Swan center. It is a tiny place but they stock quite a few varieties. They also carry haberdashery items for those of you that sew or need buttons. The owner and the other employee are so nice and helpful. They are not experts to help you on projects — that type of help you will need to get elsewhere. Convenient location

A very cute knit and crochet shop in the Swan Centre Rathmines.
It’s quite small, but my gosh do they have a lot going on in that amount of space. I especially like the way the wool is displayed on the left hand wall. Colourful and pleasing on the eye.
The lady was quite helpful when we asked about the colours we wanted in DK.
They had a great selection of accessories and knitting equipment too.

My daughter loved their yarns at this location. Great selection and some yarns I haven’t seen before.

I’ve always wanted to get into knitting. I have friends that do, and they manage to make the coolest blankets, sweaters and scarves, and it costs them only a fraction of the price you pay in the shops. Last time I knitted anything though was a stuffed worm with plastic eyes glued on its head. I was 9.
New year, new me. The new me is gonna start knitting and with the new addition to the Swan Centre, Knit ‘nd Make, I at least can’t complain about lack of material. Now I just need the skills.
Knit ‘nd Make opened in October last year and specializes, as you might have guessed, in everything needed for knitting. Here you’ll find yarns in various colours, different patterns and needles and a small haberdashery section. Three lovely ladies were making some crochet when I popped my head into the tiny shop. They assured me that everyone could be a good knitter, with practice. I’m gonna be realistic. I won’t become a knitting-​master overnight, but next winter, I WILL be sporting my big red scarf.
