Nice to see independent record stores. Golden Discs is ok, Has a half decent selection of DVD’s. The CD collection is very mainstream and you wouldn’t find anything too out of the ordinary, its just not big enough. Its in the middle of ashleaf so is a bit like a stall. But all in all ok!

A business and business model that is sadly doomed I fear, I love rummaging around looking for the odd CD and DVD bargain but truth be told it is for emergency gifts only, you’ll do a lot better on-line!

You got your pocket money on a saturday and you went down to nutgrove with your friends, you went straight to golden discs and bought the latest sought after single which in those days was a casette! This music shop has been in nutgrove for ages, id say since it opened but it was always a destination that was a must when i was younger and its still somewhere i like to browse around now. there is always an offer on a dvd to be had. the lay out is still the same aswell, you can have a look at the stands that surround a counter where you pay for your CD or DVD, so your never actually inside the confines of a shop wall, good for claustophobic music fans i suppose!
