Excellent very fresh seafood in a authentic pub. Good service and fair price. Outstanding location and authentic locals. Great find. Highly recommend to those who want the real deal. Very accommodating staff

My family and I were driving through the Skellig Ring and needed a place to stop for lunch. Portmagee has a little Main Street with a few restaurants dotting it. We went to the end of the street where we found The Fisherman’s Bar. We walked in to a tiny bar area that seemed to be filled with mostly locals. Next to the bar area was a small(ish) restaurant area. We were delighted by the tiny tables and chairs(or maybe they just felt tiny to us because we’re a tall group, who knows). There was great Irish music playing in the background as we perused our menus. Not a ton of choices but that doesn’t matter. My husband ordered the seafood platter and it had the best stuffed mussels and fresh crab claws. My mom and I split the fish and chips. Everything was about as fresh as you can get. Paired with Guinnesses it was the perfect Irish lunch!
