The breakfast bap may be the biggest breakfast sandwich ever. It’s definitely a gut-bomb with an egg, bacon AND sausage, all on a pillowy soft roll. The bacon was thick-cut and full of crispy, salty, porky goodness. The sausages were nothing to write home(or Unilocal) about, but it just adds nicely to the overall sandwich. The egg was still runny and created a great«sauce» for the remaining bites. I felt like I needed an infusion of spinach and kale after that bap, but it was well worth it. The coffee was decent and came in my favourite type of vessel, large bowl-like mug. This bap is best enjoyed sitting on their patio, enjoying the sunshine and the local morning chatter.

Really good food, terrible service. It may have been just a large crowd because it was the weekend of the Galway Races, and the staff didn’t know how to handle — but we sat down, waited 15 minutes for menus, another 15 to order. BF ordered a pint of Smithwicks — got a half pint. When the food came out, though, it was lovely. BF had the chowder, seafood was fresh, there was some lovely dill, the bread wasn’t too crumbly, and the cream was thick without being overwhelming. My salmon was perfectly cooked atop a bed of wonderfully roasted veggies. Two waiters brought the check(two slips of paper), and three promised to go get the credit card machine(one did come back with it, and pretty promptly). We’d go back if we were ever in town again.
